… and more presenters to be announced!

Join us for the First Annual Celebration of the Horse-Human Relationship (CHHR). A 2-day weekend with over 10 interactive presentations from Relationship-Based, Horse-First Clinicians and the first annual CHHR evening show, “The Celebration”, on Saturday night, featuring (you guessed it!) the Horse-Human Relationship!

What is the focus of this weekend? Oh I am so glad you asked that question! … Our focus is the subtle space. The delicate, and powerful space in between (and inside of) the cues we use. This space is so easily missed, yet this is the space that births the most rewarding relationships–because this is the only place the horse exists.

Who is invited? (or in other words—is this for me)? The horse lover that wants their horse to be happy. The horse-person looking to refine their communication through deepening their connection. The riding instructor that is seeking ways to better support their students in learning to honor the horse. The horse lover (does not have to be a horse owner) that wants to learn and connect with a like-hearted community.

When is this? November 16th & 17th, 2024

Where will the event be held? Boys and Girls Home (BGH) Equine Facility at Lake Waccamaw, NC ~ This is a beautiful facility with a large covered arena, wrap-around seating, multiple outdoor arenas, a built in obstacle garden, multiple barns with 10 by 10 stalls, all situated within a huge pecan orchard. The energy of this space is just amazing! There are RV hookups available, bath houses, and lots of space to tent camp. Or you can rent a BnB in the town of Lake Waccamaw, NC.

Can I bring my horse partner? YES! For those that would like to make this a full immersion into your own horse-human relationship, we would LOVE for you to bring along your horse partner(s). There will be ample stalls to rent and hookups as well. Some of our clinics will even have the opportunity for you to participate (in the clinic) with your horse partner! This will need to be first come, first serve, so if you are interested in this, please sign up as soon as our registration opens. (which will be onĀ  August 1st)

I can only attend one day, is that ok? YES! There will be multiple clinics offered on both Saturday and Sunday. (Nov. 16th and 17th) You are welcome to both days, or welcome to attend one day, or part of one day, whatever suits you best! We will be releasing a full schedule of presenters, as well as their diverse clinic topics, before tickets go on sale August 1st.

What about this evening show? The “Celebration”? The evening show is offered on Saturday only. It will begin just as the sun sets at 6:00 pm (because some of the performances will be under the spotlight, so we need it dark!) There will be multiple ‘freestyle’ type performances with the common goal to CELEBRATE the Horse-Human Relationship. Some of our performers will be Ashley Boswell, of Shepherd Youth Ranch, Abigail Hale and her Mustang partner, Pippa, Stephanie Linsley (who is coming all the way from her home in Denver, Colorado!) and her horse partners, as well as (myself) Mary Miller-Jordan and Magic. (Magic and I will be sharing a Magic Play, below is one of our Magic Plays, so you have an idea of what to expect. We might even share this one!)

How much is my investment in this experience?
Tickets to cover the entire weekend of clinics, plus the Celebration Show Saturday evening are $55 for adults, $25 for youth, and children 7 and under are free with an adult. If you would like to come only one day, or if you would like to attend the Celebration Show only, one day tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for youth, and children 7 and under are free with adult. *If you plan to bring your horse partner, and/or would like to stay on sight overnight, there are additional fees*

Are there scholarships available? YES! We are honored to offer scholarships for young equine professionals to attend this event at no cost. Information regarding applying for a scholarship will be posted here before ticket sales open Aug. 1st, 2024.
