Clarity is a strong Mustang pony from wild Nevada. This breed of Mustang has a smaller and shorter stature, as they were used for mineral mining in the Nevada Mountains. These horses were used to pull carts down into the mountains where there was no daylight and were forced to work in harsh conditions for long hours. In later decades, a cultural shift occurred and technology was used in lieu of horses. With no need for these ponies, they were turned loose into the wild to fend for themselves. Clarity comes from this lineage and is tenacious, so she knows how to survive. Her name suits her well, as she embodies both purity and transparency. She connects with those in the wellness meditations and appreciates the meditative and peaceful atmosphere.
Clarity is now building her Sponsor Team and is in need of her first Sponsor. Each Sponsorship is a $50 monthly commitment that goes directly to Clarity’s care. Or a business can sponsor Clarity In Full for $350 per month, to make up her entire sponsorship team. We are a non-profit and count on public support to care for this herd and offer our Mustang assisted Wellness Programs to those in need. Clarity has a story that shows strength and resilience despite others not seeing her for the wonder she is. Her ability to maintain self-confidence and endurance rooted in her lineage is one of the many reasons Clarity’s story is one of awe. She was rounded up by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as a yearling but was passed over for adoption 3 times, which meant that she was then moved into the ‘Sale Authority’ category (also called ‘3 Strikes’). This meant she was placed for automatic sale, rather than adoption. Under automatic sale, Clarity could be adopted by anyone for $25 and without the 1-year review process to ensure she was being cared for. Unfortunately, due to the sheer amount of Mustangs in the BLM holding facilities (over 50,000), this is one of the ways the BLM is trying to get them into homes. Mary Miller-Jordan saw Clarity’s light within and knew she could not be overlooked any longer. Clarity was and is deserving of love and peace, and once adopted has since found the forever home she feels she belongs in.
Pictured above Clarity is seen taking a “selfie” with all her friends at I AM HERD. In time Clarity began to trust people, but she excels in knowing how to exist amongst other Mustangs, and the politics involved. Upon her arrival to her new forever home here at I AM HERD, Clarity buddied up with those highest on the pecking order and has since found a welcoming spot in the herd. She has found peace and friendships in her forever home. Clarity is close with many individuals in the Mustang herd and has adjusted to her new life amazingly. She lives out with the big herd and though half their size, she is second in command!
Clarity radiates a high self-concept and knows her worth – as well as understands how her history gives her strength at a DNA level.

Above all, you will know that your donation ensures that we can provide the best of care to this wild one that you feel a connection to. Sponsorships are a monthly donation of $50, the cost of a bale of hay, and are a one year commitment. You may opt to have your monthly donation withdrawn automatically or you may pay in full for the year either via check or online credit card. The annual commitment begins the month you begin your Sponsorship (so a Sponsorship initiated in Feb 2020 will run through Feb 2021)
