I AM HERD Program Hosts, Staff, and Partners

Mike & Mary Jordan

Mary and Mike founded I AM HERD in 2015.

Mike Jordan (and daughter Sorrael Lyn)
Farm Manager & Workshop Host

Mike’s workshops center around touchstones that connect us with nature, such as hand carving spoons from wood and hand shaping cups from clay. Mike has built every structure on this sanctuary and handles all the building and maintaince of the farm. He is a true master at the single pointed meditation of crafting by hand. (though he is far too humble to say it) In this picture he is whittling a spoon from a stick with daughter Sorrael Lyn. In his upcoming workshop participants will be hand making coffee mugs from clay!

Mary Miller-Jordan
I AM HERD CEO & Retreat Host

The horses have always been Mary’s safe space. The place where she felt truly connected to her inner self. In Mary’s heart, the wild (and wildly gentle) horses that live here truly are the sanctuary. Mary is a certified Meditation Teacher through the Yogamu Institute (though the horses are the true meditation teachers) and loves creating a variety of retreat experiences—from traveling with gentle members of the herd to schools and hospitals, to the retreats held right here on the sanctuary. Mary is grateful for the opportunity to be both held by the loving support of this herd, and to share it with others.
